Some characters are far easier to use than others, allowing for a skill gap to close around some of the easiest Injustice 2 characters with the potential for high damage and round-ending capabilities. Combos are extremely important in Injustice 2, and these characters can dominate over others thanks to a mix of strength, juggling potential, and combo outputs, which will have their opponents wishing for a swap to a character a little gentler on each punch or shot. Most characters have specific abilities that make them overpowered Injustice 2 fighters, and here’s the very best to maximize those wins.
16Superman
Defensive, But With The Advantage Of Flight
The Man of Steel himself, Superman was never the same after the Joker destroyed Metropolis and tricked Superman into murdering his wife, Lois Lane, and their unborn child. His bitterness turned him into an evil dictator, one who intends to rule Earth into a peaceful state by force. His evil regime has seen him commit unspeakable acts, and no longer held back through his great power, Superman shines as a decent character in Injustice 2, albeit, not the best compared to lesser characters in the lore.
Superman has some funabilities and can fly toward and over enemies to ensure he isn’t the victim of a zoning character. Superman can even fire off his heat vision to deal his own bout of zoning damage, but he is a rather defensive character at heart, and players will have to utilize his combos to cancel other players' moves and ensure they can’t pull off some devastating attacks. Superman players will need to fight fast, dirty, and with smarts in order to win.
15Harley Quinn
Great Combos & High Explosive Capabilities
As a continuing rising star in the DC Universe,Harley Quinn continues her “new leaf”that features in many modern Harley Quinn stories. Despite the void filled by Joker, Harley has moved on to a heroic life, and helped topple Superman’s Regime, both out of moral conscience and for revenge for her “Puddin”.
Harley isn’t the easiest character to use for new players, but those who master her skills will feel overpowered. Harley Quinn has a great set of skills that are assisted by her skill cap. She is timing-based, with a great string of combos and fast mobility for fast and hard damage.
14Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
A Flurry of Creative Combos
If one were to featureInjustice 2characters ranked, then the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be close to the top of that list. Together, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, each playing unique to the other because they prefer different weaponry.
The four available weapons determine which turtle will be played, and each features a level of distinct play with a couple of similarities. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also have an impressive level of combos, which will ensure the opponent is kept beaten up before they can pull off anything daring.
13Green Arrow
An Arsenal Of Arrows To Chip Away At Enemies From Afar
As a hard-traveling hero, Green Arrow has seen plenty in his life as a philanthropist and vigilante.Superman killed Green Arrowin theInjusticecomics, which leads to this game featuring an Oliver Queen from an alternate reality, one where he will honor the sacrifice of his fallen self, and join his wife Black Canary in Batman’s war against the Regime.
Green Arrow features another zoning character. He has a vast quiver with many tricks, like boxing gloves and exploding arrows. These make for quite the opponent, as players will need to try and dodge these with jumps and dashes. Players can easily beat others with Green Arrow without using a single fist.
12Darkseid
Spam Omega Beams To Dominate At A Distance
Hate incarnate, Darkseid is the ruling lord of Apokolips and seeker of the Anti-Life Equation. His body is invincible, and his strength is limitless. Darkseid isn’t just a threat to the combatants inInjustice 2, but to all life across the universe.
With a strong hand, Darkseid can deal plenty of damage to opponents. His hulking size is intimidating, as is the main source of his great power in the game: the Omega Beams. These Beams can be spammed entirely throughout the match, and they are hard to dodge considering they can track opponents in any direction.
11Hellboy
Defensive Abilities Make Him A Perfect Zoning Counter
One of the bestInjustice 2characters isn’t actually from DC Comics but is a collab character from Dark Horse Comics.Hellboy is an iconic comic characterand has killed his fair share of Lovecraftian gods, demons, and witches. Thanks to his gun and the Right Hand of Doom, he more than fits into the world ofInjustice 2.
What makes Hellboy a great character inInjustice 2is not only his snarky comments amid battle but also his great use of defensive abilities and zoning. Hellboy can use his indestructible hand to defend himself, while also using his revolver to counter and interrupt opponents’ abilities.
10Supergirl
Evade Spam Attacks And Use Zoning For Quick Damage
Witnessing the devastation and destruction of her home planet, Krypton, Kara Zor-El was sent to Earth for her safety, and to protect her infant cousin Kal-El who would arrive on Earth. She found herself decades later when Kal-El was imprisoned for his crimes against humanity. However, she remains determined to protect one of the last Kryptonians and her family.
Despite a lack of versatility and low damage, Supergirl has some greatly useful skills, including a teleporting punch. This punch can be used to evade and spam attack enemies and make them feel the might of Krypton. Her heat vision is also great for zoning and quick damage, with a variety of combos.
9Starfire
Powerful Strike Abilities For High Damage & Great Range
As theprincess of Tamaran, Koriand’r found herself as a royal exile on Earth and uses the powers of her planet’s people to assist the good people of Earth. Her time on the planet has helped her see the good and the bad, and the relationships she has built have made her a great hero.
What Starfire focuses on is her strike ability. These strikes give her an advantage above almost all, as they have a great range, and deal a huge amount of damage. Most notably, her jumping strike hits like a truck as long as opponents are not blocking, and she can feature some great brawler combos.
8Black Adam
Lightning Attacks Make His Defences Impenetrable
Defeated and humiliated, Black Adam abandoned the Regime after it fell to hide from Batman. At his home on Kahndaq, Black Adam housed other Regime remnants, as they await the day that Superman returns, and they can rule the world once more.
Zoning is an important aspect ofInjustice 2. Despite the game offering a plethora of ways players can combat each other in a 1v1, some choose safety and distance. Black Adam can win matches with ease, without even standing next to his opponent to exchange fists and kicks. He can practically create a wall of defense out of his lightning attacks, and it makes rushing him impossible.
7Doctor Fate
Unblockable Attacks Make For Great Crowd-Control & Disruption
Kent Nelson wears the Helm of Fate, following the command of Nabu, one of the Lords of Order. Doctor Fate is bound to greatness with incredible magic capabilities, but the fracturing humanity within Superman causes him to sometimes, rarely, use his own humanity to intervene with that which has been ordained as fate, to risk some unforeseen consequences on the universe. Doctor Fate proves the importance of great power and responsibility, and his attacks certainly have all that and more.
Doctor Fate has a vast move set involving the mystic arts, allowing him to counter those who wish to damage him, whilst also dealing out a vast amount of damage himself. Doctor Fate has great attack moves, as well as counters that will have him preventing his opponents from using certain moves and environmental attacks, granting near invulnerability with the correct playstyles for those who enjoy countering combos and controlling the battlefield.
