The Lock On Pistol, just like any weapon inFortnite, can beencountered as both floor loot and found within chests.As the weapon is of Rare rarity, coming across the Lock On Pistol shouldn’t be all too difficult. However, finding the Lock On Pistol this way can still be a rare occurrence, calling for players to loot as many Chests as they can to find the weapon.
Another way to acquire the Lock On Pistol isthroughfishingat Fishing Spots with a Fishing Rod.Since Fishing Spots offer an increased chance of rewarding players with a Rare weapon, it can offer a decent chance of finding the item.
How To Use The Lock On Pistol
The Lock On Pistol functions similarly to many other pistols introduced inFortnite, serving as asemi-automatic weapon that deals 25 damage per hit.However, its standout feature, as the name suggests, is itsLock-On capability.When players aim down sights with the Lock On Pistol, acircle appears around their reticle.As long as a target is within this circle while aiming down sights,all bullets fired from the weapon will hit the target—provided the target isn’t using cover.
This also applies to players gliding through the air or hiding in bushes. However, theLock-On feature has an effective range of only 50 meters, requiring players to stay relatively close to their targets. For players looking to spray and pray, the Lock On Pistol also works pretty well when fired from the hip. However, using it this way will not allow players to make use of the weapon’s primary feature.
