By tapping this amiibo on the Switch, players receive items, weapons, or unique cosmetics to use in the game’s open world.
Amiibo play a part in many of Nintendo’s recent titles. InThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will primarily assist Link in traversing the game’s many open fields and dungeons. However, one aesthetic benefit is being particularly well-received by fans. FourThe Legend of Zeldaamiibo will provide fabric for Link’s paraglider, each taking on the aesthetic of a different title in the series.

Scanning the Link (Rider) amiibo fromBreath of the Wildmakes the paraglider resemble the Hylian Hood. The Zelda & Loftwing amiibo awards a fabric featuring the Goddess Crest fromSkyward Sword.Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s amiibomakes the glider appear similar to Link’s generic tunic. TheMajora’s MaskLink amiibo causes the paraglider to resemble Majora’s Mask, with its striking yellow eyes staring up at the player. Amiibo Paraglider Fabrics May Hint at Further Customization
Horses play a major part inBreath of the Wild, with some amiibo awarding unique mounts with which to cross the game’s large map. AsTears of the Kingdom’s sky islands probably make horseback ridingless central, some fans wonder how amiibo can provide a similar perk in the newest entry. Though Nintendo confirms fans can change the look of Link’s paraglider, the company hasn’t shared if amiibo impact the way players approach the islands.The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis set to introduce vehicles to Link’s latest adventure. With that in mind, amiibo Paraglider fabrics may hint at the figures' playing a role in customization elsewhere in the title.

This could readily include more amiibo functionality. The way amiibo are applied to the paraglider may just scratch the surface for their full capacity in allowing fans to express themselves in the much-anticipated title.
