Honkai: Star Railhas so far featured two different playable versions of the Trailblazer with one of the two acquired by playing through the game’s story. The default Physical Destruction Trailblazer gives players a variety of options for dealing damage, shifting on a dime between single-target and AoE damage. The Fire Preservation Trailblazer, obtainable by completing the story of Jarilo-IV, gives players a powerful tank unit with taunting abilities and AoE fire damage. Now, the Trailblazer’s newest upgrade will reportedly shift them into a more supportive role.

A new leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat reveals the element, Path, andfull gameplay kit for the newest Trailblazer. The Trailblazer’s next version will reportedly shift them into the Imaginary element and the Harmony path, moving the character into a support role in teams. The Trailblazer’s Skill will provide allies with a “Blessing” buff, dealing follow-up damage on an ally’s Skills and Weakness Breaks. The Harmony Trailblazer also features a unique mechanic granting enemies a second Toughness bar that can be broken for bonus effects, while their Ultimateincreases Break Effect for allies.
The Harmony Trailblazer’s effects look to give them a unique niche as a Weakness Break-focused unit and will likely pair well with another recent five-star unit. Version 1.1 five-star characterSilver Wolf features a similar playstylefocusing around Weakness Break, with her Skill implanting elemental weaknesses based on one’s party. The inclusion of the newest Trailblazer as an Imaginary unit also helps to boost the under-represented element, only boasting three currently playable characters. A release date for the Imaginary Harmony Trailblazer was not confirmed.
The Trailblazer’s newest version comes as just one of several new characters coming toHonkai: Star Railin the near future. Version 1.3 will welcomeanother Imaginary element character in Imbibitor Lunae, along with Quantum five-star Fu Xuan and four-star character Lynx. Leaks have also teased the character lineup for several future versions, including Topaz and Jingliu in Version 1.4 and Huohuo and Argenti in Version 1.5. The Harmony Trailblazer looks to serve as an effective F2P option for players looking to maximize their Weakness Break teams.
