A hilariousOverwatch 2clip featuring two like-minded Bastion players shows them each activating their Ultimate abilities in perfect sync, with each of them using their best ability exclusively to blow the other one up. Several fan-favorite heroes inOverwatch 2have seen some changes to the original abilities that they had in the first game, though the tweaks previously made to Bastion have been some of the more poorly-received hero changes.

As a high-output damage hero who’s a little more capable of taking hits than others, Bastion has been somewhat infamous among the gaming community since his debut with the originalOverwatch. Although the countless patches over the years have done much to tone down the capabilities of the bird-loving Omnic war machine, the many hero changes brought withOverwatch 2have completely overhauled many of his abilities. His ability to self-repair is now gone in favor of a shiny new tactical grenade launcher, and the hero’s Ultimate ability has also been reworked, with his original mobile tank configuration now swapped out with a stationary mortar mode instead.

Although the change to his Ultimate in particular was met with mixed reactions from fans, it has undeniably led to some funny moments of its own. One such example can be seen in a clip recently posted by the user SanVichKing on Reddit, which shows two opposingBastion players using their Ultimate abilitiesin perfect unison and taking each other out from across the map. Not only was the timing perfect, each player immediately and exclusively sought out the other, firing all three shells without sparing any for the other opposing team members.

As manyOverwatch 2fans that have been playing since its release will likely remember, the severe bug that caused Bastion to have infinite ammunition while using his Ultimate resulted in his removal from the game for multiple weeks. Though Bastion was thefirst character to be put in the fan-dubbedOverwatchjail, he certainly wasn’t the last, with Mei also being temporarily removed from Blizzard’s online shooter just several weeks later due to a bug that allowed her Ice Wall ability to push players out of bounds. Bastion’s updated Ultimate ability hasn’t been a new favorite for many fans though, with many complaining that the easily-avoidable projectiles don’t justify the fact that the Ultimate also leaves Bastion unmoving and vulnerable for a short duration.

While the developers did address some of the concerns regarding this new Ultimate in an earlier patch that came withOverwatch 2’s Season 2 by reducing the projectiles' explosion delay, many players still prefer Bastion’s original tank-configuration instead.Overwatch 2’s many tweaks and changessince launch have done much to find the sweet spot in terms of balancing, although complaints are still widespread among the community with regard to hero balance issues and cosmetic prices.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
