Gotham Knightsis equal parts combat, investigations, and exploration. The open-world RPG lets players experience the chaotic side of Gotham City, where they can find resources from enemies oritems hidden throughout the city. Many of these are presented as side quests, and completing them gifts players with Gear, XP Points, and crafting materials. In addition, certain quests are only triggered after reaching a specific point in the storyline, so there is good pacing between Main Missions and side activities that help level up characters and equipment.
Players will spend most of their time in-game moving around the city, completing Case Files, stopping active crime, or doing tasks for others. While on Night Patrol, players may get a message from Alfred notifying them that there is an “odd energy signature” or a “strange energy signature” nearby. This starts aftercompleting the Power Club missionand encountering the Court of Owls for the first time. After the first message, players will get the chance to take on a side quest to discover all the energy signature locations in Gotham City and get their rewards.

What Are Odd Energy Signatures
Since Batman’s untimely death, Alfred has joined forces with his sidekicks, including Batgirl, Red Hood, Nightwing, and Robin. Alfred hangs out at the Belfry providing remote assistance to the heroes and keeping them informed of what is going on in the city that will need their attention. After meeting the Court of Owls, players are given an item that allows access to Court of Owl hideouts. Alfred will soon start reaching out with a message stating that there are “odd energy signatures” around Gotham. These signatures are actually secret caches, not unlike the ones from theBruce Wayne Audio Recordingside quest, that contain things like the rare Nth Metal, XP, and, most importantly, suit materials for the Talon Suit.
Whenever one of the secret caches is close, Alfred will contact players, letting them know there is one in the area and prompting them to investigate it. The energy signaturesare attached to muralswith a green glow; after examining the mural, players will receive rewards. There are five energy signature locations around Gotham, and after finding all of them, the Talon Suit is made available for every hero.
Suit Styles are a fun way to customize the characters inGotham Knights, and the styles don’t change any stats or have boosting effects. Most of the suits can be crafted, but others require side quests or even purchasing a Special Edition of the game. The Talon Suit is the official Suit Style made by the Court Of Owls. If players want to wear it but are worried about suit stats, they can Transmog the Suit Style over the one they are using. This will give their current suit the appearance of the Transmog suit but notchange its Power levelor any special effects.
