Many of thetoughest encounters inGod of War Ragnarokare optional, with King Hrolf Kraki being considered one of the hardest fights in the game. Now, one player has encountered a strange bug that results in King Hrolf Kraki mysteriously disappearing in the middle of battle.

A Reddit user named shaunmcquitty44 has shared a clip of their fight against King Hrolf Kraki inGod of War Ragnarok, with the enemy seemingly falling through the world at the 17-second mark. The player used Realm Shift to slow down time and initiated a runic attack withGod of War Ragnarok’s Draupnir Spear, but King Hrolf Kraki disappeared from the battle before it could land. It looks like shaunmcquitty44 was pretty far into the fight, as they had reduced the boss’ HP to around a third of the total, but they were unable to continue the fight as King Hrolf Kraki died as a result of the glitch.

At the end of the video, a notification appeared signifying that shaunmcquitty44 had completed the Fit for a King favor inGod of War Ragnarok. This favor tasks users with activating Berserker Gravestones scattered around the nine realms and fighting a boss, before taking on King Hrolf Kraki at the end of the quest. There are otherinteresting favors inGod of War Ragnarok, and players should not skip a few specific ones during their playthrough, including Conscience For The Dead, The Lost Lindwyrms, Song Of The Sands, and Sigrun’s Curse.

Many fans in the comments section of the post joke about how King Hrolf Kraki gave up after seeing Kratos’ ability to slow down time, with a few players giving advice that can possibly improve shaunmcquitty44’s gameplay style. One user wished that they had encountered this glitch inGod of War Ragnarokas well, as they claim to have died around 20 times to King Hrolf Kraki.
