Unfortunately, there are currently noDendro Elemental Reactionsinvolving Anemo, Geo, or Cryo.

Alongside a whole new region to explore with an engaging storyline,Genshin Impacthas also introduced new Dendro Users for players to experience the gameplay. With the recent patch, 3.4, two new characters were added to the roster - Alhaitham and Yaoyao. Players can expect the list of Dendro Users to continue to grow with unique characters offering different strengths and roles. It can be difficult to rank characters that have different roles and functions, but here is an attempt to rank them based on their general usefulness in a team.
Updated July 15, 2025, by Elara Leclair:Genshin Impact’s 3.0 patch and subsequent updates during the Sumeru arc have placed a strong emphasis on introducing a variety of Dendro characters, offering players a wide selection with distinct utilities and roles. From patch 3.4 to 3.8, three additional Dendro characters have been introduced: Baizhu, Kaveh, and Kirara. Each character brings unique gameplay mechanics to the game. Notably, Kirara hails from Inazuma, expanding the availability of Dendro characters across all regions except Mondstadt. This provides players who appreciate diversity in character art styles and attire with a broader range of options.

9Collei
Collei is one of the first characters players are introduced to in Dendro at 3.0 and can be obtained freely as a limited-time event reward. For those who have missed out,Collei is also permanently availableafter the version 3.1 update by clearing Floor 4, Chamber 3 of Spiral Abyss. This makes it easier for new players to experience the Dendro element, and having Collei in the team is especially useful when exploring Sumeru since many puzzles require Dendro or charged ranged attacks.
Collei stands out due to her respectable number of Dendro application instances, both with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, which are reliable for elemental reactions such as Bloom. Though her damage multipliers aren’t the highest, they can still be useful as a sub-DPS as she can apply Dendro off-field. Ultimately, Collei is not a bad character, but she is overshadowed by other characters who can fulfill similar roles more effectively.

8Tighnari
Tighnari is one of the first Dendro characters to be released in 3.0 and became playable shortly afterward. Since 3.1, he has been included in the Standard Banner roster and has had a rate-up limited-time banner. While Tighnari and Collei share the same weapon type and element, they have very different purposes that are comparable to Diona and Ganyu. Ultimately,Tighnariand Collei have their own unique playstyles.

Essentially, Tighnari excels as a Quick-Swap DPS due to his potent Dendro application and Damage modifiers, although his performance is simply not consistent. Tighnari’s main strength is his ability to trigger Spread reactions amongst other characters, which can lead to increased DPS potential. However, due to his limited off-field application and the presence of characters such as Alhaitham, who can do a better job as a Main DPS, Tighnari is not as popular amongstGenshin Impactplayers.
7Dendro Traveler
Dendro is the fourth element that players can unlock for Traveler and is considered to be one of the best options available. Overall, Dendro Traveler is an excellent unit and can be a great free-to-play option for those players who haven’t obtained Nahida, as both share some similarities in terms of their off-field utility and buffing the teammates, as well as Dendro’s reaction damage.
Dendro Traveler has an energy-generating Elemental Skill that allows them to serve as a battery and a consistent Elemental Burst that has minimal downtime.Unlocking all of Traveler’s constellationsis relatively straightforward, as it simply requires exploring the region and following the story. It is important to bear in mind that when it comes to the Traveler, ICD prevents Dendro Cores from being generated too often, which may not be very optimal for Bloom-related team compositions.

6Kirara
Kirarajoins the Dendro roster as a character whose primary role in combat is to shield characters and provide Burst support. UnlikeBaizhu, Kirara’s shield is obtained through her Elemental Skill. When held, her skill also transforms her into a unique form, granting increased speed and improved climbing abilities, while dealing Dendro damage to enemies encountered along the way. This makes Kirara an excellent character for exploration, as she greatly enhances traversal across Teyvat’s terrain. While maintaining her Elemental Skill requires an extended time on the field, she can also use it to apply Dendro to enemies during combat.
As for her Elemental Burst, due to its high scaling, Kirara can be a potent character for Burst-DPS. Apart from the initial Burst damage, she also generates smaller packages that explode upon contact or after a certain period. This provides opportunities for additional Dendro application, although effectively grouping enemies may prove challenging in certain situations. The main drawback of Kirara lies in her split scaling, as her shield requires HP while her DPS relies on ATK. Furthermore, her additional buffing and other Dendro application abilities are locked behind constellations.

5Kaveh
Kavehfills a unique niche role among DPS characters. While it is possible to build him for aggravate and spread reactions, he excels in bloom-related reactions such as hyperbloom and burgeon. Some players may compare him to Nilou due to their focus on bloom, but Kaveh has distinct qualities that set him apart. He is not simply a 4-star Nilou, and can be effective in teams that include Nilou or not.
On top of providing stronger bloom reactions, Kaveh,Genshin Impact’s first Dendro claymore character, is also capable of tanking damage from bloom explosions and healing himself. This self-sufficiency is significant as it reduces his reliance on other defensive characters. Unlike Nilou, Kaveh’s team composition can be more flexible, allowing for characters outside of Dendro and Hydro to be included, making him highly viable. While he can also serve as a driver in teams where he is not the main DPS, this may not fully showcase his full potential. However, it should be noted that Kaveh does have shortcomings, particularly the absence of off-field capabilities and certain aspects of his gameplay being locked behind constellations.

4Yaoyao
Yaoyao, the highly-anticipated Dendro Polearm character from Liyue, who has been leaked with officialGenshin Impactartwork a long time ago. Now, with the release of version 3.4, players are thrilled to finally have her join their teams. She has become immensely popular amongst players, as she is the first and only dedicated Dendro healer the game offers, making her invaluable in various team compositions revolving around Dendro reactions, especially since many of these reactions can cause damage to the active character.

On top of her healing abilities, she also has great potential as a battery and on and off-field Dendro application thanks to her Elemental Skill and Burst. Yaoyao’s first constellation is especially beneficial in teams focused on Dendro DPS and is relatively easy to obtain. Her other constellations also offer additional utility, such as crowd control effects and increased performance.
3Baizhu
Alongside Yaoyao,Baizhuhas also joined the Dendro roster as another primarily healer character from Liyue. However, compared to Yaoyao, Baizhu’s healing abilities focus on slower yet more substantial healing amounts, which are provided by both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. This means that players now have the option to utilize Dendro healers in two different parties if they wish to do so, thanks to Baizhu’s addition. In addition to his healing capabilities, Baizhu is also capable of providing a shield with his Elemental Burst, further enhancing his utility in situations where healing alone may not be sufficient.
While it can be said that Baizhu lacks in terms of Dendro application in comparison to Yaoyao, he compensates by providing a buff for the entire party through his passive ability. This ability increases the damage of Dendro Reactions for characters who are healed by his Elemental Burst. The amount of this buff scales with Baizhu’s HP, aligning with the rest of his kit and making him an easily buildable character overall.

2Alhaitham
Alhaithamis an outstanding Dendro-infused sword user that relies on generating Chisel-Light Mirrors to deal an immense amount of damage with his auto attacks or Elemental Burst. Players often compare him to Keqing due to the similarities in animation and kit, but Alhaitham is a stellar Dendro DPS option who particularly benefits from Spread reaction. To truly excel with Alhaitham, players must use the right on-field combo andteam composition.
As an on-field DPS, Alhaitham is perfectly suited to buffing his damage and staying active while in the field. His off-field Dendro application or utility is non-existent, making this character only ideal for players who are looking for a Dendro character to remain in the field for extended periods of time. When it comes to his primary role, Alhaitham is an excellent option for players looking for an on-field DPS.

1Nahida
There is no surprise thatNahida, as the Dendro Archon, performs exceptionally well against other Dendro users. Her utility in the Dendro Application is unparalleled, as she is a catalyst user and always performs Dendro-infused attacks. Furthermore, her ability to use the Dendro Application off-field is where she is even more remarkable, as it is consistent with technically no ICD, making her a reliable character in any team composition that is dedicated to a Dendro-reaction.
Furthermore, Nahida’s Elemental Burst may appear weak at first glance, but this would be acommon misjudgment. Her Elemental Burst is an incredibly powerful tool for buffing her and her team’s Damage output. It has a massive AoE and an impressive duration, making it one of the best Elemental Bursts in the game. All of these aspects combined make Nahida the best Dendro user inGenshin Impact.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
