Summary

Funko Fusionhas been treated to a release date, with 10:10 Games revealing that its upcoming action adventure is set to hit the market on September 13. The announcement was accompanied by the launch of pre-orders for select versions ofFunko Fusion, whose physical edition will be distributed in partnership with Skybound Entertainment’s gaming division.

The Funko Pop line has yielded over 13,000 figures since its humble beginnings in 2010, back when it was still called Funko Force 2.0. And whilemany existing Funko Pop models are based on video game characters, the collectible manufacturer has never before had its very own big-budget game.

Funko Fusion Opens Physical Edition Pre-Orders

That all changes on September 13, whenFunko Fusionis set to reach PC and consoles. Pre-orders for the physical edition ofFunko’s first AAA video gameare now available at several global retailers, while their digital counterparts are planned to follow shortly. The PC version won’t be getting a physical release, which has long been standard practice in game publishing. Other than PC,Funko Fusionis also coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.

Unsurprisingly, the upcoming crossover title won’t feature every single Funko Pop figurine made over the last 14 years. But many will be part of the package, and 10:10 Games says ittook great care in choosing IPs to include inFunko Fusion. It ultimately decided to base its picks around the idea of representing “every decade,” with 10:10 co-founder Arthur Parsons revealing as much to Game Rant in 2023. The day-one version ofFunko Fusionwill thus feature figures based on more than 20 franchises, includingBack to the Future,Masters of the Universe,The Umbrella Academy, and NBCUniversal’sFrankenstein.

Funko Fusion Confirmed IPs List

10:10 has partnered with Skybound Games to distribute the physical editions ofFunko Fusion, with that collaboration being set to yield at least one content benefit in the form of severalThe Walking Deadcharacters. For reference,Skybound Entertainment was co-founded by Robert Kirkman, the co-creator ofThe Walking Dead. Two characters stemming from the partnership, Rick Grimes and Michonne Hawthorne, will be given out asFunko Fusionpre-order bonuses. The freebie pack will also include alternative outfits for both: Rick’s Alexandria attire and Michonne’s Traveler garb.
