Whiplash is one of many vehicles featured in Epic Games' battle royaleFortnite, and the speedy car has been added toRocket League. Epic Games first boughtthe developer ofRocket Leagueknown as Psyonix back in 2019, and since then the two games have collaborated a couple of times, but the latest crossover allowsFortnitefans to drive around the soccer field in a Whiplash.TheFortniteandRocket Leaguesocial channels have both revealed that fans of the Psyonix vehicular soccer game can complete challenges to unlock the Whiplash for free. The firstFortniteLlama-Rama event in 2020 allowed fans of the battle royale to finish quests in order to unlock uniqueFortnitecosmetics inRocket Leaguelike a DJ Yonder topper for their cars. These decals include flame, stripe, wing, and lightning themes thatRocket Leaguefans can choose between in order to customize their ideal turbocharged car to take shots on the net with.
Beyond simply unlocking the Whiplash inRocket Leagueby completing the limited-time challenges, players will also receive the free car in themobile gameRocket League: Sideswipe.Fortniteplayers that modify the Whiplash with off-road tires and a Cow Catcher can explore the massive battle royale island at impressive speeds like theRocket Leaguevehicles can by using the refillable boost charge. Although the Whiplash coming toRocket Leaguewon’t be as moddable as it is inFortnite, the sleek and sporty design of it may result in the vehicle becoming a new favorite for some players.
While mostFortnitecosmetics are added toRocket Leaguevia the Llama-Rama events, this Whiplash and its associated bundle are the only thing currently on offer in this collaboration. As multiple fans expressed their appreciation for the Whiplash being added toRocket League, others noted how fitting the move is afterOctane was added toFortnite.
