Final Fantasy 14gives players a wide range of ways to express themselves andinteract with the world of Etheirysand its reflections, like the world called the First. ThroughoutShadowbringers, much was shown of how the world was similar to the Source while having its own cultures and peculiarities.
The dwarves areone of the races playersmeet there, and soon show they are quiteunlike their lalafell counterpartsin many ways. Other than their unique helmets and the rule not to show their faces, their greeting is one of the things that stands out. Many Warriors of Light would like to reproduce their iconic Lali-ho inFinal Fantasy 14— and this guide will teach you how to get the emote to do just that!

Help Ronitt Find His Lost Hammer
It will be necessary to complete several quests until finally unlocking the Lali-ho emote. To start the chain that leads to that, however, first players must completeFinal Fantasy 14’s Main Scenario questsup to the level 78 quest,“Meet The Tholls.“After that, the first quest that must be completed will be available.
The quest, marked with a content unlock blue symbol, is called"A Disagreeable Dwarf.“It can be picked up in Kholusia, more specifically in Tomra, by speaking with Beott (X: 12.4, Y: 9.2).

This quest is also necessary to unlock one ofShadowbringersaether currents. If you’re able to’t find it, you might have already completed it to unlock flight in the area. You can always check if a quest has already been completed through the journal.
Beott will explain she is concerned about her son, Ronitt, being too unfriendly and not adhering to dwarven social etiquette, as he doesn’t put the effort into greeting others with a hearty Lali-ho. Hoping a stranger’s presence will help, she asks the player to befriend her son.

Interacting with Beott (X: 12.8, Y: 7.9) again, she will introduce the adventurer to Ronitt, who will reveal he lost his hammer, a priceless family heirloom. As a result, it will be necessary to help him find it. Speak to the Affable Townsdwarf (X: 12.7, Y: 8.6), then talk to the Timid Townsdwarf (X: 11.6, Y: 9.2) to retrieve the hammer. Deliver it to Ronitt (X: 13.5, Y: 8.3) to conclude the quest.
Complete “Almost A Friend” To Prove Your Intentions
The next quest is called"Almost a Friend"and can be picked up with Ronitt in the same place. He will show the player one of his automatons, then ask them todeliver a bucket of cobalt coal to Xemutt(X: 13.3, Y: 8.8). She will request that the coal be poured into the Diligent Spirit’s fuel chute (right beside her). After that, the player must interact with her again, then return to Ronitt to finish the quest.
Complete “A Practiced Greeting” To Build Ronitt’s Confidence
Speak to Ronitt again to start the quest"A Practiced Greeting.“The young dwarf will finallyacknowledge the Warrior of Lightas his friend, deciding to accept their advice and practice his greeting. Still hesitant to approach his fellow villagers, he chooses to practice with a Cracked Talos (X: 17.6, Y: 15.6), but he ends up turning his greeting into insults.
Offended by the dwarf, the Talos chases Ronitt and attacks (X: 13.2, Y: 15.6), and it is up to the player to defeat it.

The next step is to interact with Ronitt to aid him, then head north to find him again (X: 11.0, Y: 11.8). With the character selected, type /rally into the chatto use the emote to rally his spirits, which will conclude the quest.
Complete “Learning To Lali-ho” To Unock The Emote
The final quest in this chain will be next, and it will be the one to reward the player with the Lali-ho emote. Aptly named"Learning to Lali-ho,“the quest can be picked up with Ronitt, who will be in the same place where the previous quest ended. This time, he means to greet the first friendly villager he sees, so he asks the player to follow him back to Tomra. After arriving, the adventurer must interact with the young dwarf (X: 12.7, Y: 8.6) again to have him try to greet theAffable Townsdwarf, but again, he fails because of his nerves. Interacting with him again at (X: 11.6, Y: 9.2) will have him try to greet the Timid Townsdwarf and fail a second time.
Encouraged by the Warrior of Light’s presence, he will attempt a third time when the player interacts with him near Xemutt (X: 13.3, Y: 8.8). A cutscene will show him finally being successful, and he will want to return to his mother, Beott (X: 12.4, Y: 9.2), to share the happy news. This will finish the quest, rewarding the player by unlocking the Lali-ho emote.

Although this willreward the player with the great emote, and it won’t be necessary to complete any further quests, these quests are necessary tounlock the Dwarf Daily Quests, one ofthe beast tribes ofFinal Fantasy 14. In addition to the quests necessary for the Lali-ho emote, players must also complete “Village of Woe,” “Talos, Interrupted,” “The Cape in Bloom,” and “Wright for the Job” for Ronitt to offer the quest “Ronitt to the Rescue.”
