It’s about time everyone’s favorite sandy Outer Rim planet returns toStar Warsin an open world adventure. Originally introduced inA New Hopewhere Luke Skywalker encounters old Ben Kenobi and embarks on his adventure, Tatooine has appeared regularly throughoutStar Warsmedia, most recently inStar Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. It is a desert world full of smugglers, criminals, and all sorts of scum and villainy as Kenobi likes to put it. It has been confirmed thatKay Vess will meet Jabba the Huttand Ubisoft has promised that Tatooine will be fully explorable.
Cantonica
First appearing in the novelization,The Legends of Luke Skywalkerand later having its first on-screen appearance in the Sequel Trilogy filmThe Last Jedi. This desert planet is home to the casino city Canto Bight in which Finn and Rose visited. Located in the Corporate Sector of the Outer Rim, Cantonica originally welcomed smugglers and criminals of various sorts looking for a place to lie low. Eventually, Canto Bight was built, and thus Cantonica became a playground for the rich and powerful. SinceCanto Bight is located on Cantonica, it is possible that Kay Vess will be able to participate in some mini-games when she visits.
Kijimi
Originally appearing in the novelizationForce Collectorand later making its way intoThe Rise of Skywalker, Kijimi is a frigid mountainous world located in the Mid Rim territories. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, Kijimi became a haven for lawless individuals. Historically, Kijimi was governed by a religious group known as the Dai Bendu, the Bendu constructed a monastery in the center of what eventually become Kijimi City. Not much is known about the state of Kijimi during the time of the Galactic Empire, but it is known thatthe Spice Runners of Kijimiwere in operation at the time. Kay Vess could potentially have a run in with the Spice Runners when she visits Kijimi.
Akiva
Having first appeared in the novelizationAftermath, Akiva is a remote humid jungle planet located in the Outer Rim.Outlawswill be the first time Akiva appears on-screen. During the Clone Wars, the CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems), constructed a large droid factory underneath the planet’s surface. Throughout the events ofOutlaws, the Empire rules indirectly through the Satrapy of Myrra, who in turn enforces the Empires laws and taxes. With the presence of the crime lord Surat Nuat and his gang in the capital city Myrra, there’s the potential for Kay Vess to find side missions on Akiva.
Toshara
A brand-new planet created by Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment specifically forStar Wars Outlaws, Toshara will make its first appearance intheStar Warsgalaxyin the game. Toshara is an arid windswept moon located in the Toshaal System in the Outer Rim and appears to be under Imperial control. Despite the Imperial presence, Toshara is home to crime lords and syndicates. A settlement known as Jaunta’s Hope appears to be a place where players can upgrade their weapons and accept new missions.
