Dragon Ballfans have been absolutely spoiled for games in recent years. BetweenDragon Ball FighterZandDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, never mindSuper Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, a lot of the fandom has been sated. ButDragon Ballfans are always hungry for more, which is whyDragon Ball Xenoverse 2continues to receive support 5 years after release. In fact, the 3D action game looks like it will getting another major DLC release, with Full Power Jiren coming soon.
Bandai Namco officially announced the forthcomingDragon Ball Xenoverse 2DLC this past week. Full Power Jiren will be included in the upcoming Legendary DLC Pack 2 forDragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which should be the game’s eleventh DLC pack in total. While the full list of content included in the next Legendary DLC Pack 2 hasn’t been fully confirmed, expect more information soon. That’s because Full Power Jiren is expected to launch this fall.

Dragon Ball Superfans will recognize Full Power Jiren from the ongoing anime series. It’s the form that Jurin took during the Tournament of Power, unleashing a dormant strength that he held within him. The standard form Jiren has already been released forDragonBall Xenoverse 2. It was released as part of DLC Pack 6, which also includedUltra Instinct Gokuand Android 16. That DLC was originally released in early 2018.
Bandai Namco also shared an early look at Full Power Jiren’s abilities, which look impactful, to say the least. One of Full Power Jiren’s Super Attack is named Impact Flare and one of his Ultimate Attack is named Power Wall. Suffice to say, the new character will be sufficiently unique to the standard Jiren character, at the very least. Expect to hear more information about Full Power Jiren’s abilities as theXenoverse 2DLCgets closer to release.
Two new skins have also been revealed as part of the Full Power Jiren announcement. There’s one female and one male skin, each designed for players' avatars. First, there’s the Teen Bulma Outfit, based on a classicDragon Ball-eraoutfit that has her named printed on the front. The second is a DBZ Trunks' Final Outfit. Bulma’s outfit will be DLC, but Trunks will be free to download when they release later this year.
It’s crazy to think that five years afterDragon Ball Xenoverse 2released, Bandai Namco would still be putting out DLC for the 3D action game. But that just goes to show the staying power ofDragon Ballgames. Even when there multiple new games out tied to the popular anime/manga, fans will continue revisiting older games for fresh content.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
