The good news is that many of the community’s complaints have been addressed in this year’s edition, with crossplay support added to four new game modes and the ability to filter leaderboards by platform being introduced. Sadly, however, one of the biggest pet peeves from last year’s game still lingers on, which will likely frustrate manyEA Sports FC 24players.
How Crossplay Works in EA Sports FC 24
As far as game modes and match types go,EA Sports FC 24boasts full crossplay support, with players now able to team up with friends on other platforms in co-op game modes like Clubs, Co-Op Seasons, Volta Football, and Ultimate Team Co-Op. Unfortunately, however, the game will once again use two different cross-play pools, meaning that PS4 and Xbox One players will not be able to play with PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC players, and vice versa. Again,much like inFIFA 23, handheld players will be left out in the cold, with the Switch version ofEA Sports FC 24boasting no crossplay support whatsoever.
