Gems, in particular, can be mined from rock piles once players have acquired a pickaxe. These rock piles are relatively easy to spot in certain areas, and players can tell what type of gems they will get based on the color that’s sticking out. However, some, like Emeralds, and the gems' Shiny versions are harder to obtain in certain biomes. For player remembrallerina, they managed to max out all their gems - including the Shiny versions - after months of mining, and showed them off in their color-coordinated chest storage.
FellowDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers in the comments expressed their amazement of remembrallerina’s gem collection, with some saying that they could barely mine gems without getting impatient. Many seemed delighted by how the player color-coordinated their gems, calling it “perfect” and “satisfying.” One was also curious as to how much money remembrallerina would make if they sold all the gems in the game, which the player totaled to around $1,574,974, “plus a bunch of Dreamlight.”
