Where To Find The Fishing Rod In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Players will need to acquire the fishing rod as a part ofThe Royal Toolsquest given by the wise wizardMerlin. To unlock this quest, complete the very first story quest, Welcome to Dreamlight Valley. Players are required tocollect all royal toolsscattered throughout the valley and bring them back to Merlin. These tools, including Royal Pickaxe, shovel, watering can, and fishing rod, are used for various tasks like mining, digging, watering plants, and, most importantly, fishing.
Get the Royal Pickaxe
Three of the four royal tools are located in the Plaza, while the fishing rod can be found in thePeaceful Meadowbiome. Players will first need to find the Royal Pickaxe, which is buried in a rock in the southeastern part of the map.
After acquiring the Royal Pickaxe, head to the southern part of the Plaza to access the Peaceful Meadow. The way to Peaceful Meadow will be blocked by giant rocks; this is where the Pickaxe comes in handy. Use it to smash the rocks and clear the path to the Peaceful Meadow.
Pick up the Fishing Rod and Give it to Goofy
Once there, head to the largest pond in the region, as shown on the map. The coveted fishing rod will be lying by the pond. However, the job is not done yet, as the rod is broken and needs to be fixed. If there is one guy who loves fishing and can fix this rod, it’s Goofy.Walk up to his house, which can be easily located on the map, and he will fix the broken fishing rod.
How To Use The Fishing Rod In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unlike the other royal tools, the fishing rod can not be upgraded. To use it, head to any water body and aim it at the circles that appear on the water’s surface. There are different colors of ripples, such as white, blue, and gold. Among all, gold ripples indicatethe rarest and most valuable fish species.
