Destiny 2: Beyond Lightreleased in November, with content containing new powers, enemies, raids, and more for players to enjoy. This week has seen the release ofthe Hawkmoon exotic weapon, next-generation upgrades, and the reveal of the new Dawning event coming next week.
With the year closing out,Destiny 2players will be able to enjoy the seasonal Dawning event this December.Destinyhas seasonal events to close out particular parts of the year, and the Dawning will close out 2020. As expected, the Tower will be decked out with Christmas-themed decorations and see the return of Eva Levante. The Dawning event will be hosted by Eva again, and players will learn new recipes from her, find some of her gifts, and even get a new tricked-out ship, too.

The Dawning eventwill have new vendors, new activities, and even new rewards for players to get their hands on. According to Bungie’s update, the first Dawning reward is a new weapon called the Glacioclasm. The new weapon is a legendary fusion rifle that will be introduced to the Dawning event through random rolls to make the experience special for everyone. The next reward is a new exotic ship design for players to enjoy, gifted by Eva.
Players will be able to customize the exotic ship’s engine streams, spawn effects, and unlock a new animated shader for the ship.The Eververse storewill also have a wealth of new additions players will be able to purchase. There will also be new Christmas-themed sparrows and new Ghost shells with candles, Christmas lights, and a snowman shell. There will even be a new ship available at the store as well.
The update states that the Dawning event will also include many more gifts for players. As guardians complete more activities that generate more Dawning Spirit, this will build towards the shared community goals. However, the update doesn’t provide any further details on the gifts, preferring to keep it a secret for players to find out on their own. But it does hint that there might be some special upgrade materials in some of the gifts.
Bungie makes several more announcements in the update. It reported changes tothe Warlock’s Stasis abilityPenumbral Blast, and success in raising money for the Bungie Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. There was a list of new updates reporting on various other upcoming changes relating to server issues, Xbox Series X/S freezing issues, next-gen updates, fixes to many known issues in the game, and more.
Destiny 2players will be able to enjoy the new fixes, updates, and holiday gifts inthe upcoming Dawning eventnext week for this December.
