Understandably, it was a pretty big week for the Destiny 2 community. Not only did Season of Plunder kick off, giving the popular online shooter a new space pirate themed season, but the highly anticipatedDestiny 2Showcase also took place. In it, fans got their first look at acinematic trailer for the Lightfall expansion, as well as a ton of new details including a location set on Neptune and the mysterious green subclass known as Strand.
In addition to the wealth of new content and details for what’s coming over the next 6 months to Destiny 2, Bungie also had a few other announcements to share as well. The first was thatDestiny 2was now available on the Epic Games Store and those players who downloaded it there would get the 30th Anniversary Pack completely free. To celebrate,Destiny 2is crossing over withFortniteandFall Guys, collaborating on unique cosmetics that will be available across all three titles.

Alongside Season of Plunder, the exotic weekend merchant Xur is making his first appearance forDestiny 2players. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 02, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players will need to head to the Tower hangar to find Xur overlooking the snowy mountains.
From the default landing zone, immediately head to the left and following the path down into the Hangar. After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal stair case. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic Armor
Aeon Soul - Warlock gauntlet
Originally regarded as part of the worst exotics in the game,Bungie overhauled the Aeon Cult set to make them more viable. While they’re still not top tier gear, they’re infinitely more useful than they were, even being valuable on difficult activities like Nightfalls.
Instead of a unique perk, this armor now has specific Aeon mods that can be equipped. Sect of Force is for damage dealers, temporarily increasing player reload speed and weapon swap speed after rapid precision hits. Taking down a champion or boss also gives nearby fireteam members a burst of grenade and melee energy. Sect of Vigor gives the player class energy when teammates die, then gaining full class energy after reviving. When nearby players cast their super, allies gain a burst of healing. Finally, Sect of Insight has a chance to drop an orb of power after precision weapon takedowns. When using a finisher on an elite enemy, special ammo is dropped. Using a finisher on a boss or miniboss, heavy ammo drops instead.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Raiju’s Harness - Hunter chest armor
Not commonly seen with Xur is the Arcstrider exotic, Raiju’s Harness. In fact, this exotic was in a bit of hot water last fall whenBungie disabled it due to a bugthat allowed them to basically use Whirlwind Guard indefinitely. While the exotic has since been fixed, it has remained a largely underused exotic as it’s not quite as good as other options. Its exotic ability is known as Mobius Conduit which doesn’t consume super energy when guarding with the Arc Staff and also allows Hunters to terminate the super early to save energy.

Unfortunately, this roll is the lowest of the three, with a very low Recovery stat as well. Still, with the Arc 3.0 reworks, it may be worth looking at as it directly relates to the Arc Staff super.
Eternal Warrior - Titan helmet
It’s back again for another week! From a gameplay perspective, Eternal Warrior is specifically aimed at Striker Titans as its intrinsic perk Resolute gives the player an overshield after Fists of Havoc is activated. While a cool looking exotic item, it’s ability just really isn’t as impactful as others available to Titans. An overshield is always helpful, but it’s not likely going to turn the tide in any significant way.
While not quite as good as last’s weeks roll, it’s still a good one coming in at 66 and much better balance across all stat ranges. With the reworks to the Arc subclasses, may be worth looking at for Titan players.

Exotic Weapon
Skyburner’s Oath is a classicDestiny 2exotic, something introduced at launch with the base game and is based off of a Cabal’s weapon. The defining feature of this weapon comes from its perk Slug Rifle which alters the firing rate of the weapon. Skyburner’s Oath lobs explosive rounds that get stronger and faster when aiming down the sights. So instead of lobbing shots that track when hip firing, aiming down the sights actually turns the fired rounds into a faster, straighter, and more damaging explosive bullet. It also does more damage to Cabal enemies and rips through Phalanx Shields.
Ultimately, it can be a fun weapon to mess around with when fighting Cabal enemies, but it’s not a weapon that is anywhere near the top of the meta and can be safely avoided. In addition, this weapon is also easilyoutclassed by other Scout Riflesin the game. For those players who don’t yet have it, it is worth picking up to check the item off of the collections, so using the Exotic Engram won’t pull it in favor of something that the player doesn’t yet have.

Additional perks:
Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
