The launcher fires little Arc projectiles that turn into enemy-seeking moths, which in turn blinds targets. It also has the ability to automatically fill the magazine from reserves, which means less reloading for players overall.Corrupted Nucleosynthesisis its Intrinsic trait, which boosts its rate of fire when dealing damage or when the player takes damage—also known as “enraged”. The Catalyst forEx Dirisfurther tweaks this enraged effect, once players complete the quest inDestiny 2
How To Get TheEx DirisCatalyst
After claiming theEx Dirisgrenade launcherfrom the seasonal pass, Banshee-44 will have a quest waiting for the player in the Tower. Speak with him topick up the Grenade Logic quest. Here’s what each three steps of the quest entails.

Step 2:Calibrate data and defeat targets with theEx Diris. Make sure to get these kills with the weapon itself. Calibration needs to happen in activities like Vanguard ops, Crucible modes, Gambit, or seasonal activities.
Step 3:Head back to Banshee-44 in the Tower.
Once playershave the Catalyst, it needs to be upgraded in order for Masterwork to become available.Ex Dirisrequires 400 kills for the Catalystto unlock for the weapon itself. Make sure to put on Special ammo finders for this one to make the grind a little bit more bearable.
What TheEx DirisCatalyst Does
The Catalyst makesEx Diriseven more compatiblewith Arc builds, as it gains some synergy with Amplified. The enrage is easier to gain whenever players activate Amplified, and they can keep reactivating this status effect by simply earning more kills. This is a very powerful tool for Arc builds, even if the weapon itself isn’t the best or the strongest Arc grenade launcher around. Regardless, its Catalyst is certainly worth the endeavor.
Destiny 2is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
