Dead by Daylightis currently celebrating its 4th Anniversary with an event that allows players to gain lots of blood points, event-exclusive items, and a new cosmetic available for all non-crossover survivors and killers. This event additionally includes the tips on the loading screens replaced with special words from the development team that they want to tell the players.
Players inDead by Daylightonly have this event’s duration to get the special anniversary crown for their killers and survivors. What’s more is that this cosmetic cannot be purchased with iridescent shards or auric cells.

In order to getthe anniversary crown, players need to find it during a trial and take it with them when they escape. However, things aren’t that simple.
Getting the Crown of Entity the Great
Every trial outside of custom matches will spawn a Crown Pillar as seen in the above picture. Interacting with this pillar will cause it to dissolve and surround the player with a golden particle effect. This particle effect will surround the player until the end of the trial and could potentially make them easier to see. This goes for both killers and survivors.
to keep the crown as the survivor, they must escape after this interaction. Killers just need to finish up the trial in order to keep it, making the collection of the crown a lot easier for killer players. However, players will only get the cosmetic for the character they’re currently playing as, meaning multiple trials are required to get crowns for every character.
The Crown Pillarrandomly spawns and despawns on the map in intervals of 90-120 seconds, meaning that every player will likely get a chance to pick it up during a trial. However, there will only be one Crown Pillar spawned on the map at one time.
