Call of Duty: Warzone Mobilehas revealed a brief teaser that teases the return of fan favorite battle royale map Verdansk.Call of Duty: Warzone Mobilehas been teased for quite some time, and while fans have to wait until next week to get the full reveal, it seems they can now count on Verdansk making its grand comeback.

Verdansk was the original battle royale map inCall of Duty: Warzonewhen it first launched. As time went on, major changes were made to Verdansk to align it with the currentCall of Dutygame on the market. Eventually, Verdansk was removed fromCall of Duty: Warzoneentirely andreplaced with the Caldera map. The map change was well-received at first, as manyCall of Duty: Warzonefans were ready for something new, but it proved to be hugely controversial in the long run, leading many to call for Verdansk to return.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobilewas featured at the recent GameSpot Swipe event that focused on mobile games. It was confirmed then thatCall of Duty: Warzone Mobilewill be featured at the bigCall of Dutyreveal event on September 15. The game itself was teased with a short video that showed the familiarVerdanskplane coming into view. While not outright confirmed, it’s heavily implied by the video thatCall of Duty: Warzone Mobilewill be taking players back to Verdansk. It has been confirmed through the game’s updated website that there will be 120 players in matches and shared progression, however.

This will be good news forCall of Dutyfans who miss the Verdansk battle royale map, though some may be frustrated that it’s coming to the mobile version of the game and not the main game. While Verdansk may not ever return toCall of Duty: Warzone, there are still major changes in store for the BR. In fact, within the next few months,Call of Dutyfans should be able to playCall of Duty: Warzone 2, which is expected to launch at some point in November or December.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2is in active development at Infinity Ward, but a release date has not been announced. A leaked document suggests that theCall of Duty: Warzone 2release date will be November 16, but that has yet to be confirmed. Luckily,Call of Dutyfans don’t have to wait much longer to get their questions answered for bothCall of Duty: Warzone 2andCall of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

TheCall of Dutyreveal eventis scheduled to take place on September 15. At that time,Call of Dutyfans can expect Activision to pull the curtain back on both its newWarzoneprojects, as well as theModern Warfare 2multiplayer experience.
