Call of Duty: Vanguardintroduced many new features to theCall of Dutyformula, however, not all of these features have been a hit with players. Some players have even gone as far as to say that some of the new features are “pointless.”
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s new features include destructible environments, the ability to use 10 weapon attachments, and blind fire which is a mechanic commonly found in 3rd person shooters. Blind fire is supposed to allow players to make use of their weapons without exposing themselves to enemies while hiding behind cover. Fans were originally worried that the mechanic would be overpowered when it was first announced but it seems as though the opposite is true. One player stated that they had over 30 hours inCall of Duty: Vanguardand were unsure of how to even use blind fire.

Players pointed out that when using the blind fire mechanic more than half of the player character’s body is exposed which is rather counterintuitive considering that its purpose was to hide a player’s body while they fired.
Blind firing is, unfortunately, not the onlyCall of Duty: Vanguardmechanic that needs to be tweakedas the game’s killstreaks are still considered to be overpowered. The dogs in the Guard Dog killstreak follow players up roofs and ladders and can take up to five shots to the head to be killed which can make gameplay extremely frustrating for players on the receiving end.
Call of Duty: Vanguardalso still currently has a host of bugs and glitches although players are not complaining about all of them. There is currently aCall of Duty: Vanguardzombies exploit that is giving players tons of XPand allowing them to level up at an extraordinary rate.
One of the bugs that players would like to see patched is aCall of Duty: Vanguardmultiplayer exploit that allows players to go out of bounds. This allows players to hide from their foes and gun them down at will without the other player ever even seeing them.
Another more harmless glitch that players have found is that the1911 pistol can be given unlimited ammo. Although this glitch may seem detrimental to gameplay, players have found that when the glitch is activated the rounds fired do not do any damage.Call of Duty: Vanguardis far from the worst game in the series, however, in its current state the game could definitely use some polish.
Call of Duty: Vanguardis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
