For whatever reason, it seems likeCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdates tend to make stealth changes to the game that aren’t detailed in the patch notes. This is true for the latestCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdate as well, which apparently made a number of big changes to the first-person shooter that were nowhere to be found in the patch notes.

These secret changes toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarein Update 1.15 have been noted by YouTube channel TheXclusiveAce. According to their research,Call of Duty: Modern WarfareUpdate 1.15 included a secret buff for theStriker 45 weapon, making the weapon significantly more powerful with hollow point rounds equipped. Why this wasn’t mentioned in theModern WarfareUpdate 1.15 patch notes is unclear.

Another big change toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarethat came as part ofUpdate 1.15has to do with missions. Previously, players had to equip character missions to unlock new Operator skins, just like regular missions. However, now the Operator skin missions have been relegated to the Operator menu, and players can complete them automatically as long as they have the appropriate Operator equipped. This change should helpModern Warfareplayers unlock content in the game at a much faster rate, and since it seems to be a pretty popular change, it’s strange that it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers will also notice that theSpotter perkhas been buffed in Update 1.15. With the Spotter perk buff,Modern Warfareplayers are now able to hack equipment through walls, which should make the perk much more useful than it was prior to the update. Infinity Ward has said that this change was in the works previously, but did not mention that the buff came in Update 1.15.

In their video, TheXclusiveAce also touches on changes that people think were secretly made withModern WarfareUpdate 1.15, but really weren’t. This includes aim assist setting changes and hardcore mode health changes, but according to TheXclusiveAce, these things remain untouched after Update 1.15.

Infinity Wardhasn’t said why it makes stealth changes toModern Warfarewith its updates. It’s possible that it’s simply an oversight, as some of the updates are rather large and make a ton of changes. Whatever the case may be, fans should keep an eye out for more stealth changes that may come in future updates asModern WarfareSeason 2 continues along.
