Now one of the more substantialCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdates is available, with Patch 1.06 making a number of fixes and adding new game modes to public playlists.
The newCall of Duty: Modern Warfare1.06 update looks to fix stability across all platforms, removes Battlechatter from one-life modes (like the2v2 Gunfight mode), and fixes the issue where weapon charms were messing up aiming. While specifics on these future updates haven’t been released at this time, a rumor is going around thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis getting a big November updatethat will “overhaul” the experience. What this means exactly remains to be seen, but the rumor is that one of the main changes will be focused on the mini-map.
For the uninitiated, theCall of Duty: Modern Warfaremini-map is somewhat controversialas it does not show enemy positions when they fire, which is a departure from previous games in the series. If the rumors are to be believed, Infinity Ward will be changing theModern Warfaremini-map later this month so that it functions more like how it did in previousCall of Dutygames. This has yet to be confirmed, though, so fans will just need to keep an eye on upcoming patch notes released for the game.
