Emslie made the announcement on Reddit, noting that the new master camo has to be tested internally before being released. Depending on how long the testing takes, the new master camo will be released at the “end of this month or early next.” He also confirmed that this new camo won’t be replacing any existing ones, and that the studio would never remove content fromCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, only add more. He also reassured players that all current camos and progress on them will remain the same.
Of course, many Redditors asked how exactly players could get this new master camo. Fortunately, Emslie mentioned that this camo will be unlocked through in-game achievements, rather than having to pay real-world money for it: “Yes. Unlocked through achievement.” Unfortunately, he didn’t share any screenshots of the new camo, so fans will just have to wait patiently for the next update. ConsideringModern Warfarejust had an update on March 3rd, that could take a while.
A new master camo isn’t the only thingCall of Dutyfans are getting hyped for. Fans are still waiting for any new information on Warzone,Modern Warfare’s upcoming battle royale mode. Despite being one of the most frequently updated online games out now,Modern Warfareis still plagued by bugs. The newest bug is causingproblems for Capture the Flag players, preventing them from picking up their own team’s dropped flag while carrying the opposing team’s flag. Some players are actually unsure if this is a bug or just an unannounced new feature, as Infinity Ward has yet to weigh in on this change. Either way, many players find the change frustrating.
