Developed by Sledgehammer Games and Activision, the trilogy is a reboot of theModern Warfaresubseries that began in 2007.
The release ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3became even more exciting because of the zombies mode that was released alongside the game. The zombie mode is officially dubbed Operation Deadbolt. It allows gamers to play as Sargeant John “Soap” MacTavish or Station Chief Kate Laswell, attempting to foil the plans of world destruction by none other than Mr. Z, Viktor Zakhaev. The final installment in the trilogy comes with the largest zombie mode map called Urzikstan, which is designed to elevate the gameplay for players. However, thesparsely populated battlefield inMW3’szombies modetends to have the opposite effect on fans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Players Discover Awkward Zombies Mode Flaw
While Activision expectedCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3to build upon the 2011 counterpart of the same name, it hasn’t had the most success in this regard. Some fans dislikeCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’stime to kill, while others have criticized how there are no worthwhile or powerful enemies to vanquish in the zombies mode. Recently, a user posted a picture on r/CODZombies, showing a flaw on the splash screen that the creators may have overlooked.
The user, EDK-Rise, noted that while loading the zombies mode inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the game displayed a splash screen with the “DMZ beta” icon in the top-left corner. The DMZ was a fan-favorite mode in the 2022Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.It allows players to engage in a free-for-all in Al Mazrah, where they can hunt for supplies, complete missions with other players, and also fight AI enemies before heading to the extraction point. The logo suggests the developers forgot to remove the DMZ splash screen before rolling out the game, possibly due toActivision’s decision to rushMW3’sdevelopment.

The awkward menu flaw seems to be the tip of the iceberg. Even though the game is in its infancy stages, players are quite distraught about the bugs and gameplay issues they are experiencing. As a result,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3is already being review bombedby gamers who aren’t wasting any time in expressing their disappointment.
