Ahead of theBlue Beetlemovie’s upcoming release, the production team has unveiled that singer Becky G, also known as Rebecca Marie Gomez, will voice a pivotal character in the DC film. The musician will bring life to the role of Khaji-Da, the extraterrestrial symbiote that wields control over the Scarab, which becomes fused with Jaime Reyes in the movie. Khaji-Da plays a crucial role in the story as the decision-maker who receives the superpowers and assumes the mantle of theBlue Beetle. Becky G recently shared her involvement in the highly-anticipated DCEU project through a video message on Instagram, where she expressed her enthusiasm for being a part of the film. The brief clip showcased glimpses of the movie, giving audiences a sneak peek into how the symbiote character will be integrated into the action-packed narrative.
Becky G, known for her successful music career with chart-topping hits like “Mayores” and “Mamiii,” is no stranger to acting. TheBlue Beetlerole marks her second superhero character following her role as Trini, the Yellow Ranger, in the 2017 live-actionPower Rangersremake film. She also featured in the popular musical drama seriesEmpire. However, when her involvement in the project was announced, it left fans puzzled.
