Summary

Palworldis a lot likeMinecrafteven though it looks like just anotherPokemonclone. Players can mine for materials to build structures. UnlikeMinecraftthough, structures cannot be freely erected by building blocks or loose materials. Structures instead require recipes that are unlocked through Technology Points.

When players level up, they can increase stats like in a typical RPG. They can also use these Technology Points to buy recipes. It’s an interesting system that will keep players engaged in the gameplay loop besides the appeal of raisingPokemon-like monsters called Pals. During the early hours ofPalworld, here are some good structures to erect.

Repair Bench recipe in Palworld

7Repair Bench

Needs Stone And Wood

Some of the most important items players can make in the game are various axes and pickaxes used for mining materials. Crafting one is not going to set players up for life though. They will deteriorate as they do in most survival games, meaning that they have to be maintained.

The easiest and cheapest way to do this is by getting theRepair Bench fromPalworld’s tech tree. Repairing a tool, like the Stone Axe, will only cost a few materials even if it is completely broken. Players may also want to invest in Repair Kits, which are nice in a pinch as they are portable but costly too.

Wooden Chest recipe in Palworld

6Wooden Chest

As this is a survival game primarily, players have to gather an immense set of materials, ranging from Woodto various types of meat. Players don’t have an infinite amount of storage space on their person either, although weight restrictions can be leveled up. The best storage solution is to build furniture back at the base.

The best starting container that can hold quite a few items is simply called aWooden Chest. Later down the tech tree, players will find the upgraded version, Metal Chest, which is even better. It may be a bit unsightly, but players will probably have to build quite a few of these Wooden Chests around camp.

Shoddy Bed recipe in Palworld

5Shoddy Bed

Needs Fiber, Wood, And Wool

Due to using a day/night system,Palworldplayers have to sleep in a bedto pass the time. TheShoddy Bedis the first option players can make for themselves, and it requires a house or, technically, anything with a roof. This means the Wooden Structure Set should be unlocked in the tech tree along with Shoddy Bed.

While sleep isn’t completely necessary, it will pass the time quickly as it is easier to hunt and explore in the daylight. The protagonist is not the only one who needs to sleep though, as Pals require it more. Every Pal placed in the base camp needs a bed and the first one that can be bought is called a Straw Pal Bed.

Logging Site recipe in Palworld

4Logging Site

Needs Paldium Fragment, Stone, And Wood

Pals aremore thanPokemonreplacementsthat do battle. The reason why they can be placed at base camp is that they can perform menial tasks such as crafting objects or harvesting fields. One of the best structures to gain basic materials fast is called theLogging Site.

If Pals possess a skill in forestry, then they can chop trees to gain Wood and place them in storage units. To coincide with this, players should also get the Stone Pit which can be mined for Stone. Wood and Stone can be used to build almost anything in the early game games, from tools to furniture.

Pal Gear Workbench recipe in Palworld

3Pal Gear Workbench

Needs Cloth, Paldium Fragment, And Wood

One of the coolest parts ofPalworldis that these seemingly innocent creatures can wield weapons like guns. Not every Pal is created equal though, as only a handful can be equipped with stuff. First, players have to unlock thePal Gear Workbenchin the tech tree.

This is solely used for building Pal-specific gear and weapons. Then, each piece of gear has to be unlocked in the tech tree. For example, a saddle is needed to rideNitewing inPalwordwhich is like a giant bird, and a Pal called Lifmunk can be given a submachine gun.

Primitive Furnace recipe in Palworld

2Primitive Furnace

Needs Flame Organ, Stone, And Wood

Wood and Stone are the basic building blocks of everything in the game. After that comes Ore, which can be turned into Ingots. The latter is hard to make but necessary for crafting some of the most interesting stuff. To makeOre inPalworld, one must first unlock thePrimitive Furnace, which can also be used to craft Charcoal.

Fire-based Pals are needed, and they can be somewhat hard to find in the starting area. Players have to branch out a bit further to find ones called Foxsparks in Palworld. Once placed in the base camp, they should get to work melting Ore down into Ingots or Charcoal; however, ultimately, Charcoal isn’t that big of a deal.

Egg Incubator recipe in Palworld

1Egg Incubator

Needs Cloth, Paldium Fragment, And Stone

InPalworld, Eggs can be found randomly in the world. They can be hatched in Egg Incubators which generally don’t take long. Sometimes players may get lucky and get a rare egg, but it will usually be something common.

Either way,Egg Incubatorsare a great resource to build in camp. Related to the subject, players can eventually unlock the Sphere Factory as well, which will produce better catching materials than the normal Pal Sphere. The next upgrade will be the Mega Sphere, and every new increment makes catching Pals easier. The more ways players can catch Pals, the better.
