Kendra is one ofIsaac Clarke’s closest allies in theDead Space Remake. She is one of three characters introduced in the title’s opening seconds, and interacts with Isaac, and the player, across its entire runtime. Following the destruction of the Kellion, Kendra takes refuge in the Ishimura’s Computer Core, where she researches the history and interactions between the ship’s crew and the Marker. From this room, Kendra also keeps watch over Isaac through the Computer Core’s screens, informing him of the Marker’s history, while warning him of the dangerous obstacles between him and his goal.

As she watches the screens, Kendra is influenced byDead Space’s Markerand describes seeing the haunting visage of her brother, Kieran, who had died long before. Kendra, reveals that the Ishimura’s true mission was to capture the Marker from Aegis VII, a planet sealed off by the EarthGov, rather than mine for resources. She becomes increasingly distressed as Isaac’s journey progresses, leading her to repeatedly entice Isaac to side with her over the CEC.

It is later revealed that she is a member of EarthGov and that this Marker is a replica of the original, found on Earth. After seeing the Marker’s horrors for herself, and failing to steal it from the Ishimura, Kendra confronts Isaac on Aegis VII, before being killed by the necromorph Hive Mind.

Kendra is instrumental in Isaac Clarke’s understanding and navigation of the USG Ishimura and her unique role would be perfectly suited for aFNAF-style spin-off.TheFive Nights at Freddy’s seriesis iconic for its use of camera feeds and energy management to survive its many horrors. Given her utilization of the Computer Core and its various screens, a spin-off title that puts players in Kendra’s shoes would be both terrifying and thrilling. While informing Isaac of the dangers in each room, players would also have to contend with Marker-induced hallucinations, with each “night” featuring a different deck of the USG Ishimura.
