A recent Reddit post from user Jagrbomb on the Gaming subreddit has brought attention to the accomplishments of one of the most devoted of these fans. The post’s title reveals that the user’s 65-year-old father has been playing just one game,World at War,regularly for the past 15 years, accompanied by an image of the man’s in-game statistics. These include some impressive numbers, such as a total kill count of nearly half a million (compared to around 300,000 deaths), and just shy of 20,000 headshots. Amidst ongoingcalls for aWorld at Warremaster, this player’s incredible dedication to the game serves as ample evidence of its enduring popularity.

Examples of such passion forWorld at Warare somewhat less common than for otherCall of Dutygames. Other titles in the series likeBlack Opsand the originalModern Warfarehave received far more attention in the years since their release, but the legacy ofWorld at Warendures in the maps, game modes, and features it has passed down to later games in the series.
